Mötesplats Steneby blir i och med omorganisationen starkare kopplat till GU:s enhet HDK-Valand på Steneby - "Vi har sedan tidigare mycket samarbete med Mötesplats Steneby i olika projekt och har varit måna om att stärka banden ytterligare", säger Otto Samuelsson, universitetslektor på HDK-Valand vid Göteborgs universitet.

Steneby is a creative cultural and educational environment in Dals Långed. The educational programmes at Steneby share a common ground in the materials wood, metal and textile. There is also an art gallery and a library.

Projektparterna är Innovatum Science park, Högskolan Väst, Fyrbodal, Johannebergs Science park, HDK Valand vid Steneby och Stiftelsen Stenebyskolan genom Mötesplats Steneby. Steneby bidrar med kunskap och kompetens inom design, designprocesser, material och material samt projektledning och projektering för en kommande testbädd. Steneby är en mötesplats för utbildning och kultur. Här studerar och arbetar ca 240 personer från olika delar av Sverige och världen. Två utbildningsaktörer samverkar, Stiftelsen Stenebyskolan och HDK – Högskolan för design och konsthantverk, Göteborgs universitet. Dessa bedriver utbildningar inom konsthantverk och design inom materialområdena trä, metall och textil. Stenebyskolan, DALS LÅNGED.

If you are accepted to any of the following programmes as an exchange student: Fine Arts, Photography, Film, one of the courses per semester is however elective (7,5 credits).
